Mifare Key Fob

The classic Mifare proximity fob is a practical access accessory in an elegant, minimalist design — a convenient alternative to a traditional proximity card. It is made from durable plastic resistant to scratches, impacts and moisture, so it performs perfectly in intensive daily use — at home, in the office or in hotels. Its small size and ergonomic shape mean it fits easily in a pocket or wallet, or on a keyring, staff badge or company lanyard.

The fob is compatible with every SMART-LOCK smart lock and proximity reader that supports the Mifare 13.56 MHz standard — the same standard used by access-control systems in banks, class A offices and modern hotels. Mifare is more secure than older 125 kHz RFID because it uses encrypted communication between the fob and the reader, which makes copying and cloning credentials much harder. Its high-quality build ensures reliable operation for many years with no battery to replace — the fob is fully passive and takes energy from the reader's electromagnetic field on approach.

Read range is a few centimetres, giving convenient operation (just tap the fob against the handle or reader) while protecting against accidental unlocks when walking past. Every fob has a unique factory-programmed identifier that the administrator adds to the lock database from the TTLock app — enrolling a new user takes seconds. If the fob is lost, it can be deactivated instantly from the app, with no impact on other users and no need to replace the lock or reset the other credentials.
